Nordictrack Freestrider Trainer FS9i Review – What You Need to Know Before Buying

The Nordictrack Freestride Trainer FS9i is currently the premium version of the Freestride elliptical, which comes with all the extra bells and whistles that you do not belong to FS7i or FS5i model.

The great advantage of the Freestride trainer is that it is a new and improved elliptical trainer. Instead of the traditional hinge pedal, it uses a floating suspension system.

Removes the traditional boundaries of a set length of length you get with standard ellipticals. So you can actually set your own wearing length – up to 38 centimeters (the traditional elliptical stride is about 18 – 20 inches).

You really decide, how hard and in what direction you push on the pedals. For example, you can make short stairways, longer jogging streets or even longer obstacle styles.

This means you can constantly change your movement – and eventually get a much more effective training.

] The Freestride Trainer FS9i also comes with a slope and drop option that other models do not need to add more crosstraining training to your training. Incline and drop change the slope of your career and it is great to add more crosstrain challenges and burn more calories.

Another advantage for this trainer is that you get the largest full color web browser that makes Nordictrack (A full 10 inch). You can surf the internet if you're training, reading emails or knowing about the latest company news. This is a great way to be entertained (or distracted) if you are training.

And this trainer also integrates with iFit LIVE. So you can go online and download new training sessions to your machine or follow your training statistics over time.

You can also choose famous routes around the world – from Hawaii to Paris to Sydney. Current landmarks provide you through the console screen for virtual reality application for your workout – very cool.

The Nordictrack Freestride Trainer FS9i also has slope and resistance control on the moving armbars, something you do not find on the FS5i model. This allows you to change your resistance or slope of moving arm bars without having to reach the console (and stop your upper body training).

A final advantage for this machine is that you also get more resistance Levels than other models – so there is more room to grow and challenge yourself when you get better.

So, these are some of the main advantages of the Nordictrack FS9i Freestrider. Are there any disadvantages?

Well the only downside is that this is a luxury machine at a luxurious price. In more than $ 2000, it is not for the buyer on a budget. If you want the benefits of the Freestride trainer design at an affordable price, you might want the simpler FS5i model that is about $ 1000 less.

If you do not intend to use heavy or frequent use of your trainer (and you do not want to have the web browser or slope), it might be good with the FS7i or FS5i model. So, it really depends what you're looking for.

But if you are looking for something outside of a traditional elliptical trainer, with the ability to get your own step and get a more effective bodywork, the Nordictrack Freestride Trainer FS9i is definitely worth checking out.
